Our courses are designed for:
Yes, absolutely. We work with a wide range of businesses across the UK, from small contractors and local authorities to large construction companies, delivering high-quality training to help develop skilled, compliant workforces.
We also support individual learners who are looking to gain new qualifications, advance their careers, or enter the construction industry. Whether you're an experienced professional needing to renew your certifications, looking to achieve an NVQ, or taking your first step into construction through one of our training courses or Skills Bootcamps, we're here to help.
Our experienced team will guide you through the training process, recommend the most suitable course for your goals, and provide ongoing support from enrolment through to certification. No matter whether you're booking for yourself or for an entire workforce, you can expect the same professional service, expert tuition, and commitment to helping you succeed.
We deliver training across the UK, making it easy for both businesses and individual learners to access the qualifications they need. Our dedicated team of experienced trainers and assessors are based nationwide, allowing us to provide flexible training and assessment wherever you are.
Depending on the course, training can be delivered in a variety of ways, including classroom-based learning, live online courses, on-site training at your workplace, and workplace assessments for NVQs. This flexible approach means you can choose the training method that best suits your schedule, location, and learning preferences.
A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) is a nationally recognised, work-based qualification that demonstrates your knowledge, skills, and competence in your current job role. Unlike traditional classroom-based courses, an NVQ is assessed in the workplace, allowing you to gain a recognised qualification while continuing to work.
Throughout the assessment process, you'll build a portfolio of evidence that showcases your experience and ability. This may include workplace observations, professional discussions, photographs, job documentation, and witness testimonies. You'll be supported by a dedicated assessor who will guide you through each stage of the qualification and help you gather the evidence required.
An NVQ is an excellent way to formalise your existing skills, enhance your career prospects, and, in many cases, qualify for the appropriate CSCS Card without needing to attend college full-time.
No. One of the key benefits of an NVQ is that there are no traditional classroom exams. Instead, you'll be assessed on the knowledge, skills, and competence you demonstrate in your day-to-day job.
Your dedicated assessor will work with you to gather evidence of your experience, which may include workplace observations, professional discussions, photographs, site documentation, and witness testimonies from supervisors or colleagues. This evidence is used to demonstrate that you meet the required standards for your qualification.
Because the assessment takes place in your normal working environment, you can continue working while completing your NVQ, making it a flexible and practical way to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
The time it takes to complete an NVQ varies depending on the qualification level, the requirements of the course, and how quickly you are able to gather and submit your evidence.
Some NVQs can be completed in as little as one month, while higher-level qualifications, such as our Level 7 NVQs, may take up to 18 months to complete. The overall timeframe will depend on your experience, the availability of evidence, and how quickly you can progress through the assessment process.
Yes. In fact, NVQs are specifically designed for people who are already working in the construction industry. Because the qualification is assessed in your workplace, you can continue in your current role while working towards your qualification.
There is no need to take time away from work to attend college on a full-time basis. Instead, you'll gather evidence as part of your everyday job, with guidance and support from a dedicated assessor throughout the process. This flexible approach allows you to achieve a nationally recognised qualification with minimal disruption to your work and personal commitments.
Whether you're employed by a company or self-employed, completing an NVQ while you work is a practical way to gain formal recognition for the skills and experience you already have.
Yes. Many construction NVQs are accepted qualifications for applying for the appropriate CSCS Card, provided you meet the current CSCS eligibility requirements for your occupation and card type.
Holding the correct NVQ demonstrates that you have the skills and competence required for your role, making it an important step towards obtaining or upgrading your CSCS Card. Depending on the card you're applying for, you may also need to complete the relevant CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test.
If you're unsure which NVQ or CSCS Card is right for your job role, our team is happy to help. We'll guide you through the options and recommend the most suitable qualification to support your application.
The main difference between the two courses is the level of responsibility they are designed for.
The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is intended for first-line managers, supervisors, team leaders, and anyone with supervisory responsibilities on a construction site. It provides the knowledge needed to understand health and safety legislation, manage risks, and supervise teams safely and effectively.
The Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is aimed at site managers, project managers, contracts managers, and those responsible for planning, organising, monitoring, and managing health and safety on construction projects. It covers legal responsibilities, risk management, site management, and leadership in greater depth than the SSSTS course.
Yes. Our Site Safety courses are CITB approved and meet industry-recognised standards.
Both the SSSTS and SMSTS qualifications are valid for five years from the date of completion. To maintain your qualification, you'll need to complete the relevant CITB refresher course before your certificate expires.
If your certificate expires before you complete the refresher, you'll no longer be eligible for the refresher course and will usually need to attend the full SSSTS or SMSTS course again. For this reason, we recommend booking your refresher well in advance of your expiry date to ensure your qualification remains valid without interruption.
If you're unsure when your certificate expires or which refresher course you need, our team will be happy to help.
Yes. We offer both SSSTS and SMSTS as live, tutor-led online courses, so you can complete your training remotely without the need to travel to a training centre.
Our weekend courses are designed to fit around busy work and personal commitments, making them an ideal option for those who are unable to attend training during the week. You'll take part in live interactive sessions with an experienced instructor, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, participate in discussions, and learn alongside other delegates—all from the comfort of your home or workplace.
As these are live online courses, you'll need a reliable internet connection, a suitable device with a camera and microphone, and a quiet place to take part in the training.
Skills Bootcamps are flexible, government-funded training programmes designed to help individuals develop in-demand skills and gain industry-recognised qualifications. They are ideal for people looking to start a career in construction, progress into a new role, or enhance their existing skills.
Our Skills Bootcamps combine high-quality training with practical, job-focused learning to equip learners with the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the construction industry. Depending on the programme, you'll gain valuable qualifications, hands-on experience, and the skills employers are looking for.
Many of our Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for eligible learners, making them an excellent opportunity to gain new qualifications, improve your career prospects, and take the next step in your construction career without the financial burden of paying for training.
Eligibility depends on funding criteria, which may include your age, employment status, and location. Our team can advise whether you qualify.
Many of our Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for eligible learners, meaning you may be able to complete your training at no cost. Anyone carrying out work on or near the public highway is likely to require a Streetworks qualification. This includes operatives who excavate, reinstate, or maintain roads, footpaths, and utility services, as well as supervisors responsible for overseeing this work.
Streetworks qualifications are designed to ensure that work is carried out safely and in accordance with current legislation, helping to protect both workers and members of the public. If you're unsure whether your role requires a Streetworks qualification, our team will be happy to advise you.
A Streetworks qualification provides the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out work on the public highway safely and legally. It covers areas such as signing, lighting and guarding, excavation, reinstatement, and safe working practices.
Successful learners receive a nationally recognised qualification that demonstrates their competence to work on streetworks projects.
Streetworks qualifications are valid for five years. To continue carrying out Streetworks activities after this period, you'll need to complete the relevant reassessment before your qualification expires.
We recommend booking your reassessment well in advance to avoid any interruption to your ability to work.
If your qualification expires, you may no longer be authorised to carry out Streetworks activities until you have successfully completed the appropriate reassessment or qualification requirements.
To avoid unnecessary delays to your work, it's important to renew your qualification before the expiry date.
Not always. Some Streetworks courses are suitable for learners who are new to the industry, while others are designed for experienced operatives or supervisors who need to gain or renew their qualifications.
Our team can help you choose the right course based on your experience and job role.
Our Streetworks Skills Bootcamp combines classroom learning, practical training, and formal assessments to ensure learners develop both the knowledge and hands-on skills required to work safely and confidently in the industry.
Throughout the programme, you'll take part in tutor-led classroom sessions covering key legislation, safe working practices, and industry standards, before putting your learning into practice through practical exercises designed to reflect real working environments.
To successfully complete the Bootcamp, learners are required to pass a series of knowledge-based and practical assessments, including the relevant Streetworks examinations. Your trainer will explain the assessment process from the outset and provide guidance and support throughout the course, helping you prepare for each stage and build the confidence needed to achieve your qualification.
Booking is simple. You can contact our team by phone, email, or through our online enquiry form. We'll help you choose the correct qualification, check course availability, and guide you through the booking process.
